The Interscholastic Equestrian Assn (IEA) is for High School and Middle School riders and is modeled after the IHSA (Intercollegiate Horse Show Assn). In both associations, riders are asked to catch ride, that is, compete on an unfamiliar horse, and are judged on their equitation over fences and on the flat. The IEA shows are held at Stanford University, Thacher School in Ojai, several in the Bay area, and we host a show at MVCS annually.
The MVCS Equestrian Team has been named Zone 10 High Point Champion team for both the 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 school years.
