The Interscholastic Equestrian Assn (IEA) is for High School and Middle School riders and is modeled after the IHSA (Intercollegiate Equestrian Assn). In both associations, riders are asked to catch ride, that is, compete on an unfamiliar horse, and are judged on their equitation over fences and on the flat. The IEA shows are held at Stanford University, Thacher School in Ojai, and we host a show at MVCS annually.
Our team finished the 2010-2011 year as Zone 10 High Point Champions after winning Championships at three of the six shows this year!
Updates:
Our team just returned from Stanford University where we rode well enough to win the Championship both days! These kids have been working hard, and the results are improving at every show. We were Reserve Champions in Southern CA, and now Champions at both shows at Stanford! Our show at Monte Vista is next, March 26-27, and then on to Zone Finals in Ojai!
Here are some pics from our first show of 2010 at Thacher School in Ojai, where our girls rode well enough to win the Reserve Championship!
Our team had a great year in 2010, tying for the Championship at
Thacher School in Ojai and winning the Reserve Championship at Stanford
University. This album is from the 2009-2010 School year:
